The Linda Y. King Memorial Fund

The Linda Y. King Memorial Fund was established in memory of Linda Y. King, a teacher in the Waltham Public Schools, who lost her battle with breast cancer in 2003. Mrs. King worked in the Waltham Public Schools for seventeen years, as a Kindergarten teacher, teacher’s aide, director of Project G.A.T.E., and finally, from 1993 to 2003, as a teacher of Educational Technology. In order to carry on her commitment to providing the children of Waltham with outstanding technological resources and education, the Linda Y. King Memorial Fund will provide funding for equipment and technology grants for Waltham teachers. In 2004, the Linda Y. King Memorial Fund donated a SMART Board interactive whiteboard for the Linda Y. King Computer Lab at the James Fitzgerald Elementary School.

The Linda Y. King Memorial Fund exists under the auspices of the Waltham Partnership for Youth, an organization that aims to enhance the quality of young lives in Waltham by identifying the needs of all Waltham youth and coordinating the resources to meet those needs.

Contributions may be made to the Linda Y. King Memorial Fund c/o the Waltham Partnership for Youth, Inc. 119 School Street, Waltham MA 02451.

The Waltham Partnership for Youth is a recognized not-for-profit corporation under section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions are tax-deductible.
